Setting Up Outlook on Windows PC
If your email is hosted on SecureServer.net through MakeYourNetwork, follow these steps to configure your email account in Microsoft Outlook on a Windows computer.
These settings are for SecureServer.net email hosting using IMAP.
Step 1 - Open Microsoft Outlook
Open Microsoft Outlook on your Windows PC.
If this is your first time opening Outlook:
- Select Add Account.
If Outlook is already configured:
- Select File.
- Select Add Account.
Step 2 - Enter Your Email Address
Enter your full email address.
Example:
yourname@yourdomain.com
Click Connect.
Step 3 - Select Manual Setup
If Outlook attempts to automatically configure the account as Microsoft 365 or Exchange:
- Select Advanced Options.
- Enable Let me set up my account manually.
- Select IMAP.
Step 4 - Enter Your Password
Enter your email password when requested.
Step 5 - Incoming Mail Settings (IMAP)

Step 6 - Outgoing Mail Settings (SMTP)

Step 7 - Complete Setup
Click Next or Add Account.
Outlook will test the connection and begin downloading your emails.
Troubleshooting
- Make sure your username is your complete email address.
- Confirm your email password is correct.
- Check that SSL/TLS encryption is enabled.
- Ensure IMAP is selected instead of POP.
- If Outlook keeps requesting a Microsoft 365 login, remove the account and repeat the setup using manual IMAP configuration.
